Lodging in Silverton, Colorado

Silverton Lodging on Historic Blair Street

A small, newly renovated 1905 building turned clean, comfortable rooms — steps from every bar, restaurant, and shop in downtown Silverton.

What Kind of Lodge Is This

Straightforward Silverton Lodging, Not a Resort

Kendall Mountain Lodge occupies a building that went up in 1905, right on Historic Blair Street, one block over from Greene Street. It's not a resort. There are four room types inside. Rates are priced for what the rooms are, not for a view you won't get in 200 square feet.

Every room has new Eurotop Serta mattresses, 400-count sheets, and a private full bathroom. Silverton lodging doesn't have to mean a chain hotel off the highway — ours is a short walk from all the bars, restaurants, and shops Silverton has to offer.

Book direct through our site and you'll save up to 15% compared to third-party booking sites — the same rooms, the same beds, just a better rate with no markup from a booking middleman.

Honest Expectations

What "Lodge" Means Here

Ask the obvious question before you book: how big are the rooms? Honestly, they're small — most run under roughly 200 square feet, and we price them with that in mind. You're not paying resort rates for resort square footage. You're paying lodge rates for a clean, warm bed in the middle of town.

Because the building dates to 1905, there are steps at both entry doors, and most rooms sit on the main floor. If mobility is a concern, call (970) 844-6465 before you book and we'll walk you through exactly what to expect.

One more thing worth knowing upfront: some rooms come with a mini fridge and microwave, and some don't. If that matters for your trip, ask when you call, or check the room details before booking.

Rooms are available year-round, whether you're here chasing fall color, winter turns, or summer in the San Juans. Call ahead if you're planning a shoulder-season trip and want to confirm what's open.

Rooms & Suite

Four Room Types, One Historic Building

Four room types, and they're easy to tell apart. One queen bed. Two twins — that room has no windows, worth knowing before you book it. Two queens, for a family or a couple of couples traveling together. And upstairs, the Kendall Suite: a king bed, a living room, a full kitchen, enough space that one guest, Christine, called it "basically a one-bedroom apartment." She wasn't exaggerating.

Every standard room includes free WiFi, a Smart TV, a tea and coffee maker, a full private bathroom, 400-count sheets, and fresh cotton towels for every stay. Up to 3 rooms can be booked online — call (970) 844-6465 if your group needs more than that, or if the dates you want show no availability.

The building is old. The rooms don't feel it — newly renovated, with modern finishes throughout. Clean, modern, comfortable: that's the idea.

Pet, smoking, and cancellation details are on our Policies & FAQ page.

Location

Walk to Everything on Blair Street

We're at 1025 Blair Street, Silverton, CO 81433 — one block over from Greene Street, in the part of town locals still call Notorious Blair Street. Back in the gold rush years it was lined with saloons, gambling halls, and worse. Today it's lined with the restaurants, bars, and shops that make up most of downtown Silverton.

There's diagonal parking in front of the building and along Blair Street — no garage, no shuttle. From our door it's a short walk to the Narrow Gauge train depot, Greene Street's shops, and the trailheads leading into the San Juan Mountains.

Need a basecamp for something bigger than a walk downtown? Silverton Mountain, Molas Pass, and the 4x4 roads into the San Juans are all nearby.

Loved the Kendall suite — so much room, it was perfect for us the whole week. The bed was better than any hotels we stayed at. It is basically a 1 bedroom apartment. If we were to ever come back it would only be this room and hotel.
